Karuna ReikiŽ This new branch of Reiki was started by William Lee Rand,
who received certain non-Usui Reiki symbols and some
attunement techniques from his Reiki guides in 1989. By 1995
and after years of guidance, he had fully developed a system
of Reiki called Karuna ReikiŽ. He developed the attunement
processes and worked with other Reiki practitioners
worldwide to develop some of the symbols that are used for
Karuna ReikiŽ and have since been adopted by other systems
of Reiki too. In addition to the basic symbols, there are 8
additional symbols in Karuna ReikiŽ which are used for
intense healing work. It is imperative that Karuna ReikiŽ
training be only offered to Usui Reiki Masters; Rand claims
that it is not a substitute for Usui Reiki but is an
additional technique that is a step apart from it. Karuna
ReikiŽ is a Registered Trade Mark used to identify the
authentic, intact, and complete system of Karuna ReikiŽ.
Karuna ReikiŽ can only by taught by instructors registered
through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
What is Karuna ReikiŽ?
Karuna, translated from Sanskrit, means to take
compassionate action to diminish the suffering of others.
As we become enlightened, we recognize we are all connected.
As a result, it is natural for us to want to extend
compassionate action to our fellow human beings who may be
suffering. The spirits of Karuna implore us to use wisdom to
guide us in imparting this energy to heal ourselves as well
as others. Karuna can be likened to the motivating quality
of all enlightened beings who are working to end the
suffering of humanity. As you develop Karuna in yourself,
you will become more receptive to its healing energies and
therefore your personal healing will be quickened. Below are
just a few of things Karuna ReikiŽ can be used for.
Clear and released karmic blocks
Connection to the higher Self and lower Self.
Creation of a higher state of conscious awareness.
Creation of trust in life and healing of relationships.
Clearing the mental processes and helping healing of
addictions.
Healing unconscious patterns and helping to set goals and
increase creativity.
Increase the bodys ability to heal itself
Most people who have either experienced a Karuna ReikiŽ
session or had the opportunity to learn this system agree
that the energy of the Karuna system seems much more
definite and focused than that of the Usui Reiki system. |
